Description
The fenrisolven is a huge wolf, son of Loki and Angerboda, from it Norse mythology. It has two siblings, Hel and The Midgard Serpent, and two half-siblings, Narve and Vale.
When the Fenriswolf had to be bound, they first tried the chain Soldering, but this did not last. Then they tried the link Dream, which was twice as powerful. It went just as bad.
Then sent Odin The coffins of some dwarves in Svartalvheimen to make them forge a chain that was strong enough. The link Gleipne was created from six things that no one can find: the breath of the fish, the beard of a woman, the saliva of a bird, the roots of a mountain, the sound of a cat's paws and the sinews of a bear. Therefore, these things do not exist to this day. Gleipne was thin and soft, but stronger than all other links.
The elves trick the Fenriswolf
Once again the aes had to trick Fenre. They lured the wolf out with them to the small island of Lyngve in the lake Åmsvartne, and said that if he did not succeed in breaking this chain, he was so weak that the Æsirs had no reason to fear him, and in that case they would let him go free. Fenre suspected that they were trying to trick him, and demanded that someone hold his hand to his mouth, as a pledge. Only Ty would dare this. He put his right hand on Fenre's mouth. Fenre tried to shake himself free, but the chain only got tighter, and did not tire. This is how Ty lost his arm.
Fenre glared at them, but then they stuck a sword into his jaw, point up so he couldn't bite. His saliva became the river Vån. It is said that when Ragnarok begins, the Fenriswolf breaks free.
Then the Fenris wolf wants to swallow Odin whole, and then Vidar (Odin's son) kills the wolf by putting his foot in the wolf's lower jaw. With both hands he grabs the upper jaw of the wolf and tears the mouth to pieces.
